Abortion cannot treat ectopic pregnancy, and taking the abortion pill when you unknowingly have an ectopic pregnancy can cause you to miss early intervention.
2. How Far Along Am I?
Knowing how far along you are determines the type of abortion procedures available and helps identify potential risks. Medical abortion, for example, is FDA-approved through 10 weeks of gestation.
Our limited OB ultrasound verifies how far along you are, so you can understand which abortion options are available and protect your health. Taking the abortion pill without knowing how far along you are can be risky, as you could be beyond the ten-week window.
3. Do I Have an STD or STI?
Having an untreated STI or STD during an abortion procedure can increase your risk of infection or pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), which may cause long-term reproductive complications. We provide no-cost STD/STI testing and treatment to protect your health before you proceed with a decision.
